With hours from 6 AM to 7 PM daily, there’s plenty of time for both you and your dog to explore, enjoy a picnic lunch and take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. There are water fountains and drinking bowls for pups who want to stay cool on hot summer days, plus amenities for humans alike.   • The Richard T Conzelmann Community Center: (District Offices, Auditorium, Meeting Rooms) – This unique and convenient community center has it all – District Offices, a large auditorium perfect for hosting events like concerts or plays, and multiple meeting rooms that can accommodate any type of gathering.
  • Dog Park – The park was the first dog park built in the Greater Sacramento region. A new, smaller park has been added, and dogs continue to enjoy the expansive running spaces while interacting with other dogs.
  • Playgrounds – The playgrounds offer a wide range of play equipment, from traditional sandboxes and swings to modern play areas such as the treehouses. There’s also plenty of open grass for running around and having fun!
  • 4 Softball Diamonds – This park boasts 4 softball diamonds with plenty of open space for a full game. The lush grass and lighted fields make it perfect for night games too.
  • Picnic Tables & Barbecues – The two large picnic areas offer the perfect spot for family gatherings or summer barbecues.
  • 2 Sand Volleyball Courts – Get your game on with 2 sand volleyball courts. Grab some friends and have a tournament or friendly match!   • Tennis Courts (Lighted, Token Operated) – Get your racquet ready, as Howe Ave Park features two lighted and token-operated tennis courts. Play day or night with friends or family and enjoy some time on the court! The park is maintained by the City of Sacramento and open to the public seven days a week from sunrise to sunset.
  • Tennis Wall – The Howe Ave Park also offers a tennis wall, perfect for practicing your technique and improving your game.
  • Soccer Fields – Get your team together and head to the park for some intense soccer action!
  • Open Play Area – The open play area is a great place for kids to run around and explore. There are plenty of open spaces as well as benches for parents to relax and watch their children have fun.  
  • Creek – Take a stroll along the creek and watch as the water gurgles by. It’s a great spot to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet away from it all.
  • Pond/Fishing Piers – The park has a large pond with fishing piers where you can try your luck at catching some local fish.
