About Kimberly

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. Cannabinoid therapies can offer relief for many cancer treatment symptoms.

Every year more than 13,000 women, just in the United States, will be diagnosed with, and about 4,250 women will die from, cervical cancer. Most women diagnosed fall within the age range of 33 and 44, and 15% of cervical cancers are diagnosed in women over the age of 65.

Current treatments for Cervical Cancer include:

  • Surgery
  • Radiation Therapy
  • Chemotherapy
  • Targeted Therapy
  • Immunotherapy

All these treatments could have unwanted side effects with which cannabinoid therapies could help.

Preclinical evidence suggests that cannabis could be a possible anti-cancer treatment in the future. While this is still undergoing rigorous research, we do know the cancer symptom relieving effects of cannabinoid therapies.

Cannabis products can help with several symptoms; nausea and appetite, but also can help to reduce pain, anxiety and improve one’s mood. Each person will have different needs and different tolerances, so getting the right help to find a path to health is imperative.

Here at A Therapeutic Alternative, we specialize in helping those suffering from cancer and other illnesses. Our goal is to provide as much education as needed to help you choose the best cannabis medicine options for your life. Take the time this January, as part of Cervical Cancer Awareness, to ask our staff about how cannabinoid therapies can offer relief for cancer treatment symptoms or schedule a 1:1 Consultation.
